Stand your phone up and start. Pose detection counts each push-up automatically, with a haptic pulse per rep. No wearable, no equipment, nothing to tap.
Your phone's camera counts every push-up on the device, with a haptic pulse on each rep. Clear a dojo campaign, climb from Ashigaru to Daimyo, and rank in seasons nobody can buy their way through.

Where the way begins
Workout Samurai is a push-up game for iOS and Android, out now on both stores. Your phone’s camera counts every rep on the device, so no video ever leaves the phone. It is a workout game in the literal sense: verified reps clear a dojo campaign, raise your samurai title, and rank you in a season nobody can buy their way through.
Everything in Workout Samurai is built on a rep the phone can actually verify.
Stand your phone up and start. Pose detection counts each push-up automatically, with a haptic pulse per rep. No wearable, no equipment, nothing to tap.
A winding map of levels grouped into chapters, each chapter its own biome. You clear levels with verified reps, fighting yokai and chapter bosses.
Form a clan, fund a shared vault, upgrade the town hall, and take on a shared clan boss raid every week. A clan never disbands.
Lifetime reps raise your samurai title from Ashigaru to Daimyo. Season reps place you in a division from Bronze to Master. Both are earned.
Workout Samurai counts the one thing that matters: your push-ups. The camera feed is processed entirely on your device. No video, image, or frame is ever uploaded or stored. Only the rep count is submitted, and the server checks it so rank stays earned.
It counts standard push-ups. It does not identify or score variations, and it is a rep counter rather than a form grader.

“Almost at your word. Don’t stop. Show me more.”
No sign-up wall, no equipment, no guessing at your own numbers.
Free on the App Store and Google Play. Prop the phone where the camera can see you. No sign-up wall: your account starts anonymous and follows you if you link it later.
The camera counts each push-up on the device, with a haptic pulse per rep. Only the count leaves the phone, never the video. Decline the camera and you claim reps by hand instead.
Take the level and beat the yokai standing on it. Each chapter is its own biome and ends with a boss worth the walk.
Verified reps raise your samurai title, move your season division, and feed your clan's weekly boss raid. Progress you can point to.
The whole loop is on the push-up game page, and the counter itself on the push-up counter page.
Every part of the game runs on reps a server has checked.
Point the camera at yourself and train. Pose detection counts each rep with haptics. Frames are processed on your phone and are never uploaded or stored. Only the count is submitted.
A winding map of levels grouped into chapters, each chapter its own biome. Clear levels with verified reps, beat back yokai, and take down the chapter boss.
Lifetime reps become XP, XP becomes levels, and levels earn titles: Ashigaru, Ronin, Bushi, Samurai, Hatamoto, Champion, Daimyo. Nothing in the shop moves that ladder.
Train async with your clan, fund a shared vault, upgrade the town hall, and fight a shared clan boss raid each week. If a leader leaves, leadership passes to the longest-tenured member.
Compete across Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Master. Every ranked session is server-issued and server-validated, so the top of the board stays honest.
Every week your clan faces a shared boss together. Everyone's verified reps land on the same fight, so a clan of people in four time zones can still swing at the same target.
Lifetime reps earn a samurai title that never resets. Season reps place you in a division that does. Both are scored on verified push-ups only.
Reps pay XP, XP raises your level, and levels earn titles. Clearing campaign levels pays XP on top, so the rep numbers below are a floor and not a target.
Every season starts Unranked until you have posted enough verified reps to be placed. Division thresholds are set on the server and are not published, so the board is the answer, not a number on this page.

VerifiedRanked on verified reps, never coins.
Every ranked session is issued and validated by the server. Physically impossible input is rejected, suspicious sessions are flagged for review, and rank can never be purchased.
I kept starting push-up challenges and quietly quitting them. I wanted a counter I couldn't argue with, a reason to do the next set that wasn't willpower, and a rank that meant something because I did the reps to get it. So the camera counts your push-ups on your own phone, the dojo gives you somewhere to spend them, and every title and division stays out of the shop. A coach can't do your push-ups for you, and neither can your wallet. What the app offers is an honest floor to start from.
The things people ask before they point a camera at themselves on the floor.
Yes. Workout Samurai is a push-up game for iOS and Android whose camera counts your reps for you, using pose detection that runs on the phone. The reps are the input: they clear levels in a dojo campaign, raise your samurai title, and place you in a ranked season. Nothing is counted for you by tapping a screen.
Yes. Workout Samurai: Push-Ups is available now on both the App Store and Google Play, for iPhone and Android. It is free to download and free to play, and it ships in English, Spanish, German, Japanese, Korean and Brazilian Portuguese.
Yes. The app is free to download and free to play: the camera rep counter, the dojo campaign, clans, samurai titles and ranked seasons all cost nothing. Dojo Premium is an optional subscription that removes waiting, and gems can be bought for cosmetics. Neither one buys rank, a title or a division.
That is the whole design here. In most fitness apps the workout is a form you fill in afterwards. In this workout game the push-up is the input device: the camera counts each rep as you do it, and the count is what clears the next level, feeds your clan's weekly boss raid and moves your season standing.
A pose-detection model tracks your joints frame by frame and watches your body move through the rep. Elbow flexion, shoulder and head descent, and apparent scale all change together as you lower and press. Workout Samurai fuses those signals into one rep-progress value and counts a rep when a genuine descent and ascent complete.
No. Every camera frame is processed on your device and then discarded. No video, image or individual frame is transmitted, uploaded or stored. The only thing that leaves your phone from a session is the resulting rep count, which the server validates so leaderboard rank stays earned.
Energy paces how often you start campaign levels, and it refills on its own. It has nothing to do with rank: titles and divisions come from verified reps and are free for everyone. Dojo Premium removes the wait.
Titles come from your level, and your level comes from lifetime XP, which reps pay into. The ladder runs Ashigaru, Ronin, Bushi, Samurai, Hatamoto, Champion, Daimyo. Because clearing campaign levels pays extra XP on top of reps, the rep counts published on this site are a floor rather than a target, and most players arrive sooner.
Seasons rank you on verified reps across six divisions: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Master. You begin a season Unranked until you have posted enough verified reps to be placed. The exact thresholds are set on the server and are not published, so the division you hold reflects the season you are in.
No. Gems buy cosmetic armour, helmets and weapons only, and Dojo Premium buys convenience: training without waiting, weekly rest insurance and back-to-back clan boss raids. Every ranked session is issued and validated by the server, physically impossible input is rejected, and suspicious sessions are flagged for review. Your wallet cannot do a push-up for you.
Yes. If you decline the camera permission the game still works: you claim your reps manually instead of having them counted automatically. You lose the hands-free convenience, not the game, and you can change the permission at any time in your device settings.
You can do push-ups anywhere, but a ranked session needs a live connection because the server issues and verifies it, and that is what keeps the leaderboards honest. Reps done fully offline may not count toward your season total until you reconnect.
